Bud Bundy Divorce: “Married With Children” Star to No Longer Be Married
While he was never “Married with Children,” the actor who played Bud Bundy on the popular FOX television series is headed for divorce. David Faustino has filed for divorce from his wife of two years, Andrea Elmer, with whom he had no children. The 32-year-old Faustino cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce. The couple was married in Las Vegas in January 2004.
According to court papers filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the couple had been separated since May 1st of last year. Faustino is asking a judge to make sure that Elmer gets none of his property. More specifically, Faustino’s divorce lawyer asked that all property acquired in the marriage become his sole and separate property.
Faustino starred as the son of shoe salesman Al Bundy and housewife Peg on “Married With Children” from 1987-1997. The show once-spoofed Faustino’s real-life, unsuccessful “career” as a rapper. Faustino has sporadically appeared on various television shows over the years, and even played himself in a 2004 episode of the hit HBO show “Entourage.”
