New Jersey Nets’ superstar point guard Jason Kidd has not only been recently hit with injuries causing him to miss tonight’s NBA All-Star game but also some severe allegations from his wife Joumana during their impeding divorce. Last month, Kidd took advantage of a recently-signed, no-fault New Jersey divorce law when he cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for his New Jersey divorce. On Thursday, his wife of 10-years, Joumana, fired back some salvos at the eight-time All-Star. Joumana specifically alleged that her husband physically abused her and cheated on her throughout the marriage, a charge that Jason Kidd’s divorce lawyer called “bizarre and false,” according to a story on MSNBC.com.

Specifically, Joumana Kidd filed a 27-page petition citing alleged attacks in which Jason punched, kicked or choked her. Jason Kidd’s attorney, Madeline Marzano-Lesnevich, filed a response on Friday denying all allegations of abuse and unfaithfulness. Joumana Kidd is seeking joint legal custody of the three’s children, whom she wants to live with her, and child support, alimony and monetary compensations for her sustained personal injuries and trauma during the marriage.
