CSI DIVORCE: Coming to CBS This Fall
Michigan Forensic Scientist Used State Laboratory Equipment to Conduct DNA Test of Soon-to-be Ex-Husband
A Michigan forensic scientist is being investigated by police for her “personal use” of state laboratory equipment for reasons related to her divorce. Ann Chamberlain-Gordon used state equipment to perform a DNA test of her husband Charles Gordon Junior’s underwear to determine if he was sleeping with another woman. Chamberlain-Gordon recently testified during her divorce hearing that she ran the test on her husband’s underwear last September and allegedly said that she found the DNA of another woman on the underwear. Police are investigating whether Chamberlain-Gordon violated policies prohibiting the use of state equipment for personal reasons and are expected to release the results of their investigation next week. For the meantime, Chamberlain-Gordon still maintains her job in the forensic lab.
