Splitting the house…literally
According to CNN, a Cambodian couple took the idea of dividing assets literally. After 40 years of marriage, the husband cut the couple’s house in two. The two had been living together in the village in the Prey Veng province of southern Cambodia; however, the husband and his friends moved his belongings to one side of the house and sawed the building in two last week.
The village chief told CNN that the husband and wife got a divorce after she wouldn’t tend to him while he was sick. The couple divided the rest of their property into four sections: two for each of them and two for each of their two children. The husband has moved his section of the house to his parents’ property.
