Career Struggles often lead to Divorce
According to a 2007 study of more than 9,000 married men and women between the ages of 25 and 59, more emphasis is generally placed on the husband’s career than on the wife’s work. The study, conducted by researchers from the University of Iowa and the University of California-Davis, also found that when couples are forced to relocate due to a spouse’s career, men fare better with an average salary boost of $3,000 per year while women lose an average of $750.

Court Upholds Ruling that College Tuition is not Child Support
A New York appellate panel has ruled that an agreement made between a couple from Westchester, New York who are now in the midst of a divorce is both valid and invalid. The appellate court found that although the basic child support provisions in the agreement are not valid under federal law, the part of the agreement outlining the payment of the college expenses for the couple’s children is valid.
