Ex-Councilman’s divorce results in criminal charges
Warnie Enochs, a former Murrieta City Councilman, is facing 14 felonies, including forgery, fraud and extortion after the crimes he is accused of committing during his divorce from Julia Enochs.
NBC San Diego News reported that according to published reports, Enochs physically threatened to break a contractor’s leg unless he signed a written document stating that he had had an affair with Enochs’ wife. The contractor had been working on the Enochs’ home. Once Enoch found out that the contractor had not made a written statement, Enoch forged the contractor’s name.
