Missing Missouri Woman Wanted a Divorce
Renee Pernice has been missing since Jan. 2, and investigators believe that she is a victim of foul play. According to the News Tribune, Pernice was in the middle of a divorce from her husband, Shon Pernice. The court affidavit said that Shone has made inconsistent statements since the day Renee was last seen.
Renee, 35, is a nursing instructor with two sons and a stepdaughter. Her husband is an Independence firefighter. After obtaining a search warrant, authorities found that Shon had entered an Independence haz-mat station that held solvents and cleaning materials. Shon is not assigned to the station.
The court affidavit also said that Shon has told detectives that he last saw his wife on New Year’s Day and Jan. 2.
