Money Talks

Money has always been a sore spot for many couples, even a major reason in divorce. With the recession in full swing, it has become an even bigger issue for many.

You may feel like all you and your spouse do is argue about money, but maybe that’s a good thing…

Although you may be able to push money problems under the rug for a little while, eventually the troubles will pile up enough that you can no longer ignore the issue.

This is a great web site. You offer so much information and a lighter side.

I’m a big supporter of couples remaining amicable one the decision is made to divorce. It is the best solution for all, both Petitioner and Respondent, children – if any, friends, family, and the big deal…your finances.

If you can do this yourself, your cost can be as low as the filing fee and you can decide how your Judgment (divorce) is entered. Research is key; check with your local Family Law Facilitator, State/Locar Bar, Legal Aid, NOLO Press: “How to do Your Own Divorce”, or Legal Aid. Also, if EZLegal is available, look at this alternative.

I’ve been seperated from my husband for over 4 years now. We have no contact whatsoever. He’s been living with his girlfriend. He wouldn’t sign the divorce papers. What can I do?
